Democrat Myopia

I am often amazed at the lack of objectivity that plagues the partisans of both major political parties. But the latest round of news coming from New Jersey regarding Democrat Governor James McGreevey exposes Democrats as being blind to the truth about their political party and purveyors of deception.

Democrats argue loudly that Bush has run amuck in prosecuting the war against terror. Bush led us astray in going to fight a war against Iraq. Bush has failed to fund states with much needed resources to protect citizens from terrorists. They are quick to point out that only half the country believes that Bush is effectively managing the war on terror. Yada…Yada…Yada…Yada…..

Now meet New Jersey Governor James McGreevey, a Democrat, who appointed Golan Cipel, (his gay lover and Israeli poet, not even a U.S. citizen) to be his Homeland Security Advisor. Cipel had no security clearance and was not even able to attend FBI meetings on sensitive security issues. After Cipel resigned in March of this year, he was kept on the payroll by McGreevey at a rate of $110,000 per year. McGreevey didn't even have a job title for Cipel and did not allow him to speak with the media.

Now with all this information about the mismanagement of New Jersey's Homeland Security Office, you'd think that national Democrats would lay low in casting aspersions at the Bush Administration's handling of the war on terror. But of course this would be to expect the rational from the irrational. Rather than take some responsibility for New Jersey's Homeland Security mess, Democrats ask if New Jersey can accept a "gay governor." I suppose it would be too much to ask them to consider the performance of their "gay governor." I guess being a homosexual excuses McGreevey from legitimate criticism in his complete utter squandering of the Homeland Security Office of New Jersey.

To add insult to injury, John Kerry Democrats are trying to use this as another example of how the Bush Administration has dropped the ball on homeland security. It must not have occurred to Kerry Democrats that the "McGreevey way," is the "Democrat way." Appointing unqualified friends is the Democratic Party way. Liberal Democrats generally prefer diversity over competency. Sexuality over ability. Slyness over fairness. Deception over truth. Blame over responsibility.

Kerry Democrats blaming the Bush Administration for "McGreevey's way" is just par for the course. McGreevey's values are very much mainstream Democrat Party values. Democrats who loudly criticize the Bush Administration for its incompetence are silent regarding McGreevey. This proves that liberal Democrats really aren't interested in security competence at all. They just hate conservatives.

Bush is no real conservative, but his political views are a bit better than Kerry Democrats and their McGreevey ways.

Spoiled NBA Players a Disgrace

The USA Men's basketball team got their butts thumped by a much less talented Puerto Rico on Sunday. Maybe this will send them a much needed message. These spoiled sports icons need to be brought down to earth. The lack of concern for team and a "me, give me - my" mentality plagues most professional sports but none worse than the NBA. Maybe the loss to Puerto Rico will send a loud message to the NBA. Allowing the punks to run wild in the NBA just won't cut it anymore.

Team USA lacks discipline and commitment. They just don't have the heart to win. But how could they have heart when they have been so pampered by coaches and NBA owners. While I hope team USA will recover and win the gold, I don't expect it to happen.

Expect lots of blame and finger pointing when the NBA punks return without a medal.
